GAPS Graduate Business Development
GAPS Podcast Co-Host
When Sally first became a GAPS Practitioner back in 2012, she dove straight into a 1-1 practice and she loved it! But as a hardwired introvert, (as in: she recharges by being alone, not by being around others), her love eventually turned to energetic overwhelm. Not wanting to give up helping people with GAPS, she decided to turn her real-world experience into an online course. For this particular tech and design loving introvert, an online course was the natural fit. She still got to help people, and she still got a dose of human interaction in the live Q&A calls she offered along with her course. In fact, she found that she was always on form and ready to chat because she had not been in consultations all day long. When the seasons of her life moved along and she was guided down the path that lead her to eventually moving out of public practice and into supporting her fellow practitioners and coaches grow their businesses online, she put her GAPS course on full automation. What that means is, she set up a lot of fancy behind-the-scenes tech so that the course essentially sold itself. (Curious how? In brief: create a high quality free training that educates and inspires). Four out of every 100 people who registered to watch her free training would purchase her course, which allowed her to generate income while helping people she'd never even met, from all over the world!
Sally is a natural health practitioner (GAPS Practitioner, Nutritional Therapist and Reiki Master, to be exact). She is also a graphic designer who loves solving problems. Getting tech to do cool stuff (but not feel complicated) is her passion. A couple of years ago, she began to see how frustrated and overwhelmed most of her practitioner and coach colleagues became when they tried to wrangle all the tools and tech they needed to build their online businesses. And who could blame them? There are so many moving parts, especially when it comes to taking payments, building membership portals, or delivering online courses. It's enough to make even the smartest gluten-free cookie want to throw her laptop across the room!
Sally could see how much time and energy it was wasting for them and, worse, how stuck it was making them feel. They wanted to take their business to the next level, but the tech was slowing them down - or stopping them completely. She decided to build something that would remove the problem. Something that would free them up to focus on being practitioners and coaches, and save them from getting all tangled up in the tech. After a few months (and many late nights) basking in the warm glow of her computer screen, she turned her idea into a reality and the Practitioner Platform was born.Sally joined the GAPS Team in early 2019 and she is the official GAPS Graduate Business Development guru!
